FAQs

Q: When is your meeting schedule?

A: Every first Tuesday at lunch time.

Q: What time does your club meeting begin and end?

A: 12:00 noon SHARP to 13:30 

We try to start and finish on time.  You can leave the room a little earlier, if you need to.

Q: Where do you meet?

Q:How many members are there?

A: We have 15 active members at the moment.

Q: Can I come and observe the meeting?

A: Sure,  email us at mineko@hh.iij4u.or.jp

Q:How much does it cost to be a member?

A: It differs from person to person depending on when you join the club. Basically, you need to pay for the lunch fee which is 3,500 yen per; meeting in advance, and the registration  fee is 5,000 yen, And Toastmasters International dues which is a payment to the headquaters: 18 dollars per 6 months.

Q: How much does it cost to attend as a guest?

A: 4,000 yen. (3,500 yen for the lunch, and 500 yen would be your guest fee.)  French course lunch. They have vegetarian menu too, if you prefer. 

Q: Do you have dress code?

Yes! Suit, Sports Jacket, Slacks, but NO JEANS please.

Q: What is your club's selling points?

A: We have our meetings at the lunch hour. If you are a business person who wishes to share your experience as a speaker or wants to learn from others how to make effective speeches, take a bit longer lunch time join to us!  We have many experienced great speakers!

There are a lot of smiles and friendly faces. You'll fall in love.

What is Toastmasters International

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Its mission is to improve communication and leadership skills of its members and in general. Mainly, this means "improving public speaking skills," but there is also a potent leadership and management aspect to the organization if you aspire to reach that level. There are 200,000 members in 9,300 Toastmasters Clubs in 80 countries around the world.
